Definitely interesting...

I just cant see these projects becoming a serious competitor to MS like this article hints at... Not that MS is a great company, but google has never been one for customer service... Think gmail. It's been beta for a few years now...

Can you use these products offline? Or are they only usable online?

But then again, perhaps they are using the same beta testing model that MS has adopted. IE. let the users work out the bugs...

Whatevs... NeoOffice to the max man.

I think it will become a competitor in that it will be adding to the multitude of alternatives. Eventually, being online will be even more ubiquitous than it already is. I rarely write or respond to email when I'm not online. For that matter, I rarely open a computer when I'm not online. And if I do, it's on purpose - because I need to get something else done. I don't think these apps offer the breadth to be a full-out Office competitor (yet), but I do think they'll be one more reason why people like you and me won't need to buy Office.

Google Reader has a new interface. And I was just starting to like the old one. But the new release has a lot of great features. I'm not sure what reader software you use, but if you haven't already, you should give this a try.
